JUST IN: Appointment Galore In Oyo As Makinde Appoints New Commissioner, 9 Others

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has forwarded the name of the Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Dr Olabode Taiwo Ladipo, to the Oyo State House of Assembly, as a commissioner-nominee.

The governor has also appointed Arc. Ifeoluwa Akande as the Chairman, Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee; Honourable Isola Abiodun Adekunle as Executive Adviser, Intra-Party Affairs; and Hon Oladejo Emmanuel Oladokun as Part-Time Member, Local Government Service Commission.

According to a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi PhD, the appointments take effect from July 1, 2026.

Makinde has also reappointed the Chairman and Members of the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.

Prof Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi, who was appointed on March 24, 2025 to serve out the term of the former chairman, Professor Abiodun Adebowale Ojo, who died last year, has been reappointed as Chairman, while the governor has also reappointed Hon Johnson Oladele, Alh. Azeem Badmus, Engr Oyetayo Ige, Mrs Alice Adedokun and Mr Waziri Adekunle as members.
The re-appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD.

The Governor, while congratulating the chairman and members on their reappointment, charged them to work diligently for the uplift of the institution.
The new appointment takes effect from July 1, 2026.
