Jolted by the condemnations the demolition of Music House have attracted, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, has invited the owner and popular gospel musician, Dr Yinka Ayefele for a meeting.
Scheduled for 4 pm today, the ‘peace meeting’ was facilitated by a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, OYO INSIGHT learnt.
The state government had demolished the structure, which houses Fresh FM, last Sunday, 24 hours to the commencement of court sitting.
While the government has confirmed that it demolished the building, the government’s lawyer, Chief Yomi Alliyu, denied it. The court later adjourned hearing till September 12th, 2018.
All entreaties by influential Nigerians which included the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, King Sunny Ade and Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde and others fell on deaf ears as the state government went on to demolish the building said to be worth N800 million.
Sources said it took Tegbe many days to convince Ayefele to honor the invitation. The venue has not been agreed upon as at the time of filing this report.
At first, Ayefele did not agree but some of his influential supporters were persuaded to talk to him.
