JUST IN: Aftermath Of Crisis In Oyo Assembly, Speaker Replaces C’tee Chair

The crisis rocking the Oyo State House of Asembly reared his ugly head today as the speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has replaced Hon. Olamide Akinajo as chairman of the committee on works and transport.

Akinajo, who is an Ibadan mogaji and represents Ibadan North East 1, is seen as an arrowhead of those who are not satisfied with the leadership of Ogundoyin.

Both Ogundoyin and Akinajo are members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

His removal, OYOINSIGHT.COM, came early Tuesday morning during plenary after forty days break.

The removal, this newspaper learnt, was without the knowledge of the principal officers of the house.

Without recourse to the selection committee according to the House of Assembly ground rules, such action is null and void.

Akinajo has replaced with Kehinde Taofeek Olatunde from Akinyele constituency II.

Olatunde, known as Deacon is presently House Committee Chairman on Appropriations. He is ordered to replaced Akinajo with immediate effect.
