Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu was made to declare publicly that he is a Muslim.
OYO INSIGHT recalled that Adelabu’s religion background has been a subject of discussion, with many saying he was a Christian.
Though the former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has denied it in many fora, he has been a worshipper in major Mosques in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital since he became the party flagbearer.
At an event organised by the Oyo state government to celebrate this year’s Maulid Nabiyy (celebration of Holy Prophet Muhammad’s birth) at the Remembrance Arcade, Agodi, Ibadan, Adelabu was made to make a public declaration that he was a Muslim.
“I was born a Muslim and have remained a Muslim all my life,” Adelabu said
