Hon Olumide Abiodun Ojerinde, Member representing Irepo Oorelope and Olorunsogo federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Abuja has hailed the judgment of the Supreme Court which the nullified the caretaker committee constituted by the Oyo state governor. Engr Seyi Makinde.
Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja, he advised Gov Seyi Makinde to do the needful by obeying the apex court ruling with urgent alakrity. Therefore, on the Supreme Court Judgment which voided the continue state in office of the caretaker committee, he said going against a subsisting court order will create further crisis. I therefore advice Mr Governor to obey the supreme court ruling and cooperate with all elected local government chairmen and councillors to move Oyo state forward.
I sincerely appreciate the unrelenting efforts of Prince Ayodeji Abass-Alesinloye for the way and manner he coordited the chairmen throughout the turbulent times of litigations and also to the legal team led by Chief Niyi Akintola (SAN)
To us in Oyo state APC, most expecially, the APC family in Irepo, Oorelope and Olorunsogo local government area. This is a clear victory for democracy. Most especially to all the democratically elected council chairmen and councillors.
I think it is time for right thinking members and leaders of this party to put this whole thing to an end and put the party in a frame to begin our hard-work towards the realization of our dream of taking over Oyo State.
