Mr Wasiu Adelabu, a former distributor of International Breweries has called on the new management to probe the transactions of the company under SABMILLER.
This is contained in a statement personally signed by Adelabu and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that Adelabu, a resident of Iseyin is the owner of FAIDSAM Nig. Ltd, a distributor of the Ilesha-based company, International Breweries.
NAN reports that a Belgian brewer, AB InBev had in June took over the operational management of International Breweries from SABMILLER who in 2010 took over same management from BGI Castle.
He called on the new management under Ab. InBev to urgently look into the books of the former management under SABMILLER, alleging them of underhand dealings which left several distributors defrauded.
Adelabu, who narrated his ordeals with the former management, said his travail with SABMILLER led to the stoppage of business dealings with the company in 2015, having realized so much loss from the business.

“I am imploring the new management to bring back the old integrity and trust reposed in the International Breweries by distributors and customers.
“This could be achieved by digging into the old accounts of estranged distributors so as to flush out bad eggs in the company and create a renewed goodwill as well as confidence in their customers heart,” he said.
He alleged that SABMILLER ran the management of the company with several discrepancies between it and distributors, which made them lose several distributors and customers.

“I am not the only customer affected. It is massive and almost all the major customers were targeted but many could not cry out despite knowing it was happening.
“I wish they can reach out to all the old affected customers and investigate what caused the problems they had with the company,” he said.
Adelabu alleged that many consignments of allocations under SABMILLER were not delivered and their accounts debited, saying trailer loads of empty bottles also returned to brewery without their accounts credited.
He said that among such were breakages returned to the company as expected of all distributors that were not credited into their accounts.
“I am using this medium to call on the new management of the Nigerian Breweries to please look into these discrepancies and investigate to correct many wrongdoings that had been perpetrated there.
“They should forestall future occurrence of such and bring back the integrity and trust that distributors as well as customers had for the company. The fraud could be traced to the whole management and not just some staffers.
” I am appealing to the new management of International Breweries to please look back into the old accounts and call back old distributors that were enraged like me over the open fraud to move the company forward,” he said.(NAN)
