As Nigeria celebrates its 58th independence anniversary, the gubernatorial candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), Akinwale Omololu Laosun (AOL), has called on Nigerians to remain expectant and believe that the Nigeria of their dreams is within reach.
According to Laosun, the country has been endowed with unbelievable natural resources and creative individuals, but noted that these privileges have not been translated into national benefits for the citizens.
“Most of the development and infrastructure gained in the first 29 years of our country are now in a dying state, comatose or non-existent. The national airline carrier, the refineries, hydro-electric plants, railways and national hospitals to mention a few.” The nation has been presented with the opportunity to elect God-fearing, selfless and compassionate leaders who would lead the country out of the current economic doldrums in the 2019 elections. Laosun confirmed that Nigeria is faced with leadership problems and 2019 is an opportunity to turn things around.”
He uses “this opportunity to appeal to Nigerians not to sell their votes come 2019 and to vote for new visionary leaders who have not been part of or sponsored by the old brigades. He concluded that he is positive that Nigeria will be great again!
“Happy 58th Independence. Long live Nigeria.”
