Oyo State deputy governor, Rauf Remi Olaniyan, has felicitated with Muslims in the state and across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-fitr festival.
Olaniyan, in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday morning, noted that Muslims must also take this period to reflect on the teachings of Islam.
“Today marks the end of the holy month of Ramdan. As we enjoy the festive atmosphere that comes with this period, I also want us to use this period for self-reflection.
“This reflection should enable us see that it is important to imbibe the virtues of this holy month into our everyday activities.”
The Igboho-born politician also noted that Muslims should use the period to pray for God’s intervention in the affairs on the nation.
