This newspaper had reported how Ajimobi ordered other aspirants to step down for his ex-security details, Mr Sahid Aderounmu, as the party’s flagbearer. Four days later, he would change it to Agbaje, who currently represents Ibadan North constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

An impeccable source confided in one of our reporters that “Oga actually wanted Agbaje but the wife doesn’t. That was why he initially picked his former security chief details who the woman prefers. He summoned courage and substituted him, thinking the woman wouldn’t be aware. When the woman got to know and the pressure became intense, he had to invite the leaders and change it to Akinremi.

Umar-Farouk, Son of late Aare AbdulAzeez Arisekola, Aderounmu, Musiliu Akinremi, Adepeju Esan, Olanrewaju Otiti, Bolanle Agbaje and two others have bought nomination forms to contest the APC primaries for the federal constituency seat.
