Ibadan Mogajis To Oyo PDP Leaders: Stop Linking Dotun Sanusi With Your Party, He’s For Everyone


Two prominent Ibadan compound heads, Abass Oloko and Ademola Oladosu, have asked those linking their colleague, Dotun Sanusi, with the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to desist from such.

According to the duo, who were reacting to statement by former chairmen of the PDP from all the 33 local government calling on ‘Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State to attract the likes of Sanusi into the party ahead of the 2027 election, the billionaire businessman has not told anyone he is interested in the party or contesting under it.

Oloko and Olasomi, while thanking the PDP leaders like Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun, Alhaji Lateef Durojaiye, Alhaji Lamidi Fatokun, and others for singling out the Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort boss, said the philanthropic gesture of Sanusi, who is the Otun Apesinola of Ibadanland is neither political nor for a party alone.

They commended Sanusi who alleviating the sufferings of the people consistently for over a decade, saying “we are proud to be associated with Engr. Dotun Sanusi for all he has done to put smiles on the faces of our people, we wouldn’t allow any modicum of stain to come near him.

”He is our pride within and beyond Oyo State. Though he might have not have come near the late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo ans Delta States, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola, in terms of philanthropy, nobody born of Ibadan blood is close to him currently. He assists without considering ethnicity, party and religion.

”While we thank those asking Governor Makinde to influence him to join PDP, we like to tell them that Sanusi is not a member of the PDP as we speak and his assistance goes beyond party lines,” Oloko and Oladosu who are coincidentally PDP members added.
