According to him, the decision to retaliate the killings was made at an emergency meeting of Family heads in Ibadan.

In the statement, he wrote, “It is saddened that the Fulani people who are suppose to be living peacefully with bus are now killing our people. We woke up on Monday June 1 to hear the mass killing at the village of one of our fathers and a former governor of Oyo state, Chief Kolapo Ishola. Many of his kingsmen were killed.”

“This is unacceptable. Henceforth, we have decided to begin to hunt for the people behind the killing and ensure they are brought to book, if government is helpless. We cannot open our eyes and see our people being killed. We have suffered enough. They destroyed our farmland, take our lands and even killed our people without rescue from police or even government. Enough is enough.”

The Mogajis also urged Governor Seyi Makinde not to take lightly the fight against the fulani herdsmen in the state.

They added that the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu should, as a matter of urgency, call a meeting of all Family heads in the town to strategize on how to tackle the issue.

The Authentic Mogajis at the meeting where the decision was made are: Mogaji Ademola Olasomi, Mogaji Molade Adeyemo Rasaq, Mogaji Aperin Adekunle Olaonumi, Mogaji Itabigbo Badmus Adewale, Mogaji Olugbode Abiodun Tesleem, Mogaji Osho Falere Fagbenro, Mogaji Olanrewaju Fatai of Fatumo compound and other members of the authentic Mogajis
