I congratulate my opponent, Barr. Niyi Ajewole on his victory in the just concluded CCII general election and wish him the very best.

I appreciate all the constituents clubs who believed in my leadership for their unwavering commitment and support which has not only brought development to CCII but also improved the management of resources of the Council.

I appreciate the candidates in my team for their doggedness and spirit of sportsmanship.

I also appreciate all members of my campaign team, supporters, friends, and families for making it possible to face the struggle against mischief, defamation and character assassination which was deployed by the opposing team, to garner pity votes.

Special appreciation goes to my wife, Princess Oluyemisi Adeaga and my children for their unquantifiable support and love.

I also acknowledge the effort of some past President-Generals notably the letter circulated by Chief Bayo Oyero to all constituent clubs on the eve of the election to campaign against me. I take the result as the will of God who will serve each and everyone of us according to what we deserve.

A good take home for us despite the glaring attempts to circumvent the CCII constitution, character assassination and mischief backed up by the external forces who have made themselves kingmakers, is that our performance and leadership skills earned us 45% votes against 53% secured by the winner.

Conclusively, the interest of Ibadan remains paramount to me and I thank God for the opportunity he has given me to serve Ibadanland and Nigeria at large in a humanitarian capacity, this will continue to enhance my contributions towards having a better society.

    Long live CCII
    Long live Ibadanland
    Long live Oyo state
    Long live Nigeria.

Prince Oluyemisi Adetayo Adeaga, President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) 2021-2023.
