A gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Adeolu Akande, has commiserated with the people of Oyo town over the demise of Alhaji AbdulWahab Yusuf Alao.
Biizinilahi or BNL, as he was fondly called, died in the early hours of Friday.
Akande, a former chief of staff under the administration of late former governor Abiola Ajimobi, revealed how he became friends with more than six of his children.
“He was father to many of my school mates at Anwar-ul Islam High School, Iseyin, and was indeed one of the promoters of the school. He once brought six of his children and foster children to encourage the school.I recall that he brought excitement to the school each time he visited during some of the school programmes.
“This was apart from the fact that his indelible imprints will continue to be remembered within and outside Oyo town. Till he died, he was loved by many. A proud Oyo man that he was, his businesses were among the mainstay of Oyo economy.
“While I commiserate with my friends and their other siblings, I pray Allah grant baba eternal rest.”
