The US Diplomat who is also a member of All Progressives Congress stated this while reacting to the death of the first two-term governor of Oyo state. Ladepo spoke from his base in Vienna, Austria.

“The death of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi is a devastating shock from which I am yet to recover. Many have described him as brilliant, eloquent, loyal, hardworking and imbued with an uncommon administrative acumen. But none has mentioned his generosity. Ajimobi was a silent philanthropist through whom many have themselves become wealthy.” Ladepo said.

He prayed for the repose of Ajimobi’s soul and wished his immediate family, the people of Ibadan, and of Nigeria as a whole the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
