Group Identifies Causes Of Oyo APC Crisis, Proffers Solutions

Oyo Political Pathfinders Group, an independent initiative of concerned members of All Progressives Congress, APC, state has identified the major causes of the polarisation challenge facing the party in recent times while also recommending solutions towards solving the problems.

Arising from a meeting held at KS Motel, Agodi, Ibadan on Tuesday, June 12, the group identified among others the development of sour relationship between Senator Abiola Ajimobi  and major stakeholders who worked assidously during the 2015 elections that ensured the victory of the party being sidelined in the decision making, party affairs and appointments as major reason causing disenchantment and distrust.

A communique issued after the meeting reads “The process of indirect primary to select candidates of the party during the recently conducted local government elections is also another major problem which created serious disharmony and wrangling within the party.”

The meeting was well attended by party members from various zones, local governments  and wards across the state identified measures to pacify the aggrieved members and plan of actions that will guarantee true reconciliation initiatives on a win win outcome as part of solutions to the lingering problems. 

 

 

The chairman of the group, Elder Femi Olaore, its spokesperson- Mr Adeniyi Adeoti as well as co-convener, Mr Kunle Olatunji, among several party faithful in attendance at the meeting enjoined Governor Abiola Ajimobi, elders and leaders of the party across the divide to embrace permanent peace and engage in reconciliation initiatives to resolve the issues to guarantee the victory of the party in 2019.

The draft of the communique, Oyo Insight learnt, has since been forwarded to the concerned stakeholders to ensure urgent implementation of the various solutions recommended by the group.
