A socio-political group known as Movement for Better Society Group, has berated the national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW),  Alhaji Nojeemdeen Yasin, over his role in the move to resolve the crisis in the NURTW in Oyo state.
The group in a statement jointly signed by the chairman and secretary, Adedotun Olajumoke and Abdulmalik Ibidapo respectively, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune, posited that the involvement of the national chairman of NURTW is selective and obviously centred towards favouring a particular group in the union.
“If truly the national chairman wants to be fair in its bid to resolve the crisis in the state union, he should involve every stakeholder. But now, the peace move is being done among select members of the union while ignoring key members who are major stakeholders as far as the union is concerned.
“Our stand is that if the national president has gotten something from section of the union to use his office to manipulate things, he should do the needful by returning such as we are all aware that his tenure expires in August.
“We believe by now,  his major priority should be on how to smoothly hand over the mantle of leadership to the incoming national president.
“We, however, called on Alhaji Nojeemdeen Yasin, to do the needful by inviting virtually all the stakeholders in Oyo NURTW for any peace meeting if truly he is being sincere in his dealings.” The statement read.
