A socio-cultural group, Omo Ibile Ibadan, has asked the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, to caution a group of Ibadan family heads, against dabbling into issues that do not concern them.

This is coming few hours after the family heads, otherwise known as the Ibadan Authentic Mogajis,  cautioned Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State against the move to query some traditional rulers in the state.

The Mogajis, OYOINSIGHT.COM understands, had also indicated its readiness to pay a solidarity visit to the deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, in his new base soon.

But Omo Ibile Ibadan, in a statement by Chief Peter Adebowale and Alhaji Rauf Oyelowo, chairman and secretary respectively, said only the Olubadan-in-Council has such power to offer advisory role in that regard.

“The Olubadan and other stakeholders should wade in before these individuals embarrass Ibadan and our people. Should everything be about money? They should stop from commenting on what doesn’t concern them. This is not their first time. Only recently, they were commending Governor Seyi Makinde over appointment into NURTW. We wonder what concerns Mogajis with the activities of drivers’ union. Already, there is faction within the so called Ibadan Authentic Mogaji over integrity issue. Mogaji Olawale Ladoja should be called to order. There is nothing like Authentic Mogaji anymore,” the statement added.
