The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, says God has shown him he’s the next person to govern Oyo State.
Adelabu, a two-time gubernatorial candidate in the state, made this declaration at an event with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in the zone.
“Its been a while since I started this journey. I believe it’s not the day you start politics that you reap the benefits.
“I have now paid my dues. I contested against Seyi Makinde in 2019. In 2023, the same thing happened. But this 2027, God has shown that it’s my turn.
“It’s Adelabu time. And anything that belongs to Adelabu belongs to us all,” he declared in the video.
Adelabu, OYOINSIGHT.COM understands, had in 2023 defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC, where he first contested in 2019, to the Accord. He defected back to the APC after he was made minister by President Bola Tinubu.
