A federal board member of the governing council of Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, Hon Akeem Adetoyese Ishola, has condemned in strong term the demolition of Music House which houses the popular Fresh FM by Oyo State government.
According to Ishola, “The demolition was unnecessary and uneconomical considering the kind of service the radio station is rendering to the people of the state and the number of people getting the means of the livelihood from the station.
“Democracy can only be meaningful if the freedom of the press is not hampered,” he added.
He, however, advised that “the government should learn how to tolerate the constructive views from the oppositions as this would help government in many ways.”
