FOSSU Inaugurates National Excos

    The national chapter of the Federation of Oyo State Students Union, FOSSU, has Inaugurated its new set of newly elected executives into power.

    FOSSU, which caters for the affairs of all students who are of Oyo State origin inaugurated the newly elected executives at the National Museum, Alesinloye Ibadan.

    The event started with the dissolution of the outgoing executives by the Chief Justice of the Association, Justice Adewale Olamide after which the officially elected executives were sworn in and presented with certificate of return.

    Speaking at the event, Mr. Babatunde Adewale, who stood in for the lawmaker representing Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa federal constituency, Hon. Shina Peller, enjoined the youths to participate actively in politics, stating that it is because the youths don’t participate in politics that is why incapable people are allowed into politics.

    Similarly, FOSSU’s Chief Justice, Hon. Adewale Olamide emphasized the importance of cooperation and togetherness among the newly sworn in executives.

    Speaking with newsmen, the Senate President of the association, Sen. Ashiru Muhammed stated that the association is ready to right all wrongs and will do everything to ensure that the right of every student who originates from Oyo State, is well defended.

    He further stated that the body is one that is open to all and devoid of partiality as evidence by his emergence, after he became the first student from Igboho to attain the position of the Senate President since the inception of the association.

    Also speaking, the newly elected president of the association, Sen. Oyeleke Olalekan popularly known as Lekmas, stated that the association is ready to work with the present day government as well as all relevant agencies to ensure that the unity, peace and harmony which the state is known for is emphasized and adhered to.
