We initially chose not to engage with the conveners of the hastily assembled “Ibadan North Stakeholders Forum.” However, in the interest of historical accuracy and political integrity, we have decided to issue this clarification.

It is our firm belief that unaddressed falsehood risks being mistaken for truth over time. This principle underlies our response to the actions of the so-called “Ibadan North Stakeholders Group.” Our investigations reveal that this initiative is the product of a few desperate individuals and opportunists. Regrettably, they have misleadingly framed their activities as an endorsement of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli’s gubernatorial ambition.

We wish to state unequivocally that the narratives propagated by this splinter group are entirely unfounded. Their primary objective appears to be the discrediting of the duly constituted and state-working-committee-recognized APEX LEADERS’ FORUM. Contrary to their insinuations, there has been no internal discord among the Apex Leaders until this faction chose to fabricate one to serve its biased interests.

We ask: by whose authority and mandate did they undertake this exercise? Their intentions have been foreshadowed by their consistent absenteeism from Apex Leaders’ meetings, their propagation of malicious insinuations, and their encroachment on the statutory functions of recognized party executives at both ward and local government levels. These actions have been further exacerbated by the parallel meetings currently being held by factions within Wards 04 and 08.

As the philosopher Socrates wisely observed, “When the debate is over, slander becomes the tool of the loser.” What these agents of division could not achieve through due process, they have sought to accomplish through coercion and underhanded tactics. We therefore call on these disgruntled elements and reactionaries within the APC leadership to refrain from disrupting the fragile peace and stability currently existing within our local government party structure.

For the avoidance of doubt, the recognized members of the APEX Leaders’ Forum in Ibadan North APC are as follows:

1. Alhaji (Chief) B.A.O. Oladeji — Chairman
2. Mr. Adebiyi Akeem — Secretary
3. Hon. Wale Sanusi
4. Hon. Wasiu Emiola
5. Hon. Lasun Adebunmi (JP)
6. Barr. Femi Adedokun (JP)
7. Alhaji Audu Lawal (Marafa)
8. Alhaji Omilabu-Gandhi T.
9. Dr. Adepeju Esan
10. Alhaja Tairat Adeyemi
11. Alhaja Tinuade Adigun
12. Mr. Bamidele Ogunleye Osarah
13. Hon. Segun Olaleye
14. Alhaji Akeeb Animasahun
15. Alhaji Sina Alabi
16. Alhaji Fatai Akinlabi (FATSHAD)
17. Sir Adewale Olatunji (Murphy)
18. Alhaji Gaphar Ojetola
19. Elder Luqman Fatoyinbo
20. Dcns. Jumoke Akerele
21. Mrs. Wemimo Beckley
22. Mrs. Bisi Olasope
23. Alhaji Ganiyu Adekunle
24. Mr. Tosin Ayoade
25. Dr. Gafari Olaide
26. Prince Niran Adeyoju
27. Prince Gbadebo Oyelade
28. Alhaji Kayode Adanla
29. Alhaji Taofeek Olayiwola
30. Engr. Bayo Salami

While we intend to include additional leaders from Wards 01 and 09 in due course, such expansion will occur at the appropriate time.

In conclusion, we urge all party stakeholders, the general public, and APC supporters to disregard the publications of the so-called “APC Stakeholders Forum.” Instead, we encourage everyone to focus on our collective preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the goal of securing a decisive victory for our party’s candidates at all levels. We must not squander our energy on trivialities, unnecessary disputes, or distractions.

For our part, we remain irrevocably committed to advancing the progressive ideals of our great party. We call on all troublemakers to join us in our collective effort to wrest governance from the current administration in Oyo State and to ensure the continued success of the PBAT-led government at the federal level.

Thank you for your attention.

AKEEM ADEBIYI
Secretary, APEX LEADERS FORUM, Ibadan North LGA
