For leading a protest over the non-issuance of identity card for students of the University of Ibadan, UI, in May 2017, Ojo Aderemi, president of the institution’s students union, will not do anything academically for two sessions.
Yesterday, the institution’s students disciplinary committee gave the judgement, while others officials of the students union were strongly ‘reprimanded’, OYO INSIGHT was told.
Aderemi has confirmed the development ‘tentatively’, but added that “the letter is not out yet.”
OYO INSIGHT recalled that the disciplinary action came over a year after the students’ Union was suspended indefinitely by the Senate of the university.
