The lawmaker representing Oyo Central senatorial district, Sen. Teslim Folarin, has appointed Mr. Yekeen Shakirulah Olaniyi as his special adviser on media.
YSO Elodyper, as Olaniyi who graduated from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, is popularly known, hails from Oyo west in Oyo town. He currently edits Pacesetter News, an online newspaper.
Before his appointment, the media enthusiast was principal aide to Hon. Olamiju Alao-Akala, chairman of Ogbomoso North local government.
Olaniyi, who is expected to sell his principal to the public through the mass media and other means, was, until 2019, a media aide to former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, who is one of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
In a statement announcing the appointment, Folarin, who is a third term senator, wishes him Olaniyi well in his new job.
