Following the award of excellence bestowed on former first lady of Oyo State by federal government of Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth League has described it as worthy of celebration.
The award is in recognition of her “Outstanding Roles in Cancer Prevention and Control in Nigeria.”
The group, in a statement by its coordinator, Bashorun Soliu Lawal, congratulated the woman, adding that “We are not surprised at her new award because she is a good leader who always cares for the people around her.
“Mama is a patriotic, committed and a selfless leader whose effort and contribution towards development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large are second to none.
“Despite the demise of her husband, she still continues contributing her quota to the development of our dear party in the state. We therefore urge you to continue your good deeds on selfless humanitarian services because it’s a proud to have a progressive minded woman like you as a leader in our great party and we pray to God to enrich you in good health and wisdom to continue your humanitarian services,” Abideen Owolabi, publicity secretary of the group quoted the chairman as saying.
