The minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola has updated Sen. AbdulFatai Buhari on the development of Iseyin/Oyo and Igbeti-Ilorin roads.
It would be recalled that Buhari had, in his letter to the Fashola dated October 2nd, 2019, highlighted the deplorable state of these roads within his senatorial district.
Buhari, who is representing Oyo North senatorial district for the second term, had stated in that letter the economic importance of these roads and the need to reconstruct them to ameliorate the sufferings of people of Oke-Ogun.
In his response dated December 20th, 2019, Fashola had informed Buhari that necessary engineering design works on Oyo-Iseyin road has been concluded and currently undergoing the necessary procurement processes in preparation for a contract award while work is already ongoing on Ilorin-Igbeti-Kishi road.
With this news, Oyo-Iseyin and Igbeti-Ilorin roads would be in positive state in no distance time.
