A chieftain of Accord, Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, has distributed JAMB to 750 students across the 11 local government areas of Oyo central senatorial district.
A statement by his coordinator in his hometown of Oyo federal constituency, Town Planner Joel Adedapo Adeniran, quoted the 40-year old Oyo-born engineer who contested the 2023 election in the same district, as saying the decision to give out free JAMB forms was motivated by the current economic realities.
Saying that the registration is ongoing at the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education CBT Centre, Oyo, the techpreneur said it was his own way of assisting families and younger ones.
”Rather than allow these young ones roam the streets aimlessly, we decided to look at ways to tame this. We came up with the idea of distributing JAMB forms, believing that it will relieve many parents who had thinking endlessly of how to obtain forms for their children. Together with it, we created registration centres at the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education CBT Centre, Oyo and other zones, at no cost. What we just want from them is to go prepare for the exams and come out in flying colours.
“I am a firm believer in education. I know the role education played in this position I am today. Even if you are not going to do white-collar jobs, there is a way education shapes you. In some months to go, we will roll out other empowerments that we believe can relieve the people of hardship occasioned by the current economic realities,” the Accord party chieftain added.
