The test included glucose and malaria test, free drugs for diabetic patient, eye examination and 500 free reading glasses.

Speaking during the exercise, Fagbenro lamented that sometimes, some people without prior illness could just slump and die, urging the need for routine checkups.

“That is why I have decided to organize this event to give back to the society.

“Health is wealth, but not many people take adequate care of their health because they are gathering wealth, this should not be the case as nobody will take money gathered to the grave; there should be time for rest and medical checkups at lease three times in a year”.

He further advised well-meaning Nigerians to bring the hospital to the doorsteps of the indigents citizens, stressing that it is not everybody that could afford medical care.

He explained that he believes this is a worthwhile venture that will make people’s lives better.

“This intervention means a lot, makes a lot of difference in the lives of many of beneficiaries, In addition to the Free medical outreach, Palliatives were also distributed to about 300 widows with cash empowerment to few people. “I think we are doing the right thing and I believe that next year, by the Grace of God, we will do more if we see more people who need our Intervention.”

Fagbenro, under his non-governmental organization, Hope Also Need Help Foundation conducts free medical check-up and prescribed medicine to vulnerables in Ibadan.

The outreach/empowerment was witnessed by the Oyo State PDP Organizing Secretary; Pastor Biodun Popoola, Prof Adeboye Omole (IAR&T), Mr. Amani from America, Mr. Foluso Ajibade, Mr. Femi Bamidele, Mr. Tunji Adedire among other dignitaries.
