Remember members of the breakaway faction of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Unity Forum, who joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC, few weeks ago.

They are on their way out of ADC. And this is is due to alleged domineering tendencies of former governor Rashidi Ladoja and former secretaries to the state government, Chief Michael Koleoso and Chief ‘Layiwola Olakojo.

They are to hold talks with the leadership of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in Abuja, this morning.

OYO INSIGHT learnt exclusively that despite last minutes efforts by the leadership of ADC to pacify them, Unity Forum members found it hard to trust Ladoja.

This newspaper had reported how factions loyal to Ladoja and Koleoso had dominated the list of the state executives of the party. This was after the national leadership of the party had ordered the stoppage of the congress.

Members of the Unity Forum who were shocked by the decision held a press conference where it gave the leadership 72-hour to act on the matter.

At Monday’s meeting at former president Olusegun Obasanjo Abeokuta residence, it was agreed the group should produce the chairmanship of the party and other positions. They were said to be unhappy when they were asked to field the chairmanship seat but with somebody from Okeogun part of the state.

Though details of the meeting is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, it was learnt that the Abeokuta was not fruitful.

OYO INSIGHT also learnt that major stakeholders within the group met yesterday but it was not successful.

But one of those at the meeting was quoted to have told members of Unity Forum that “we had several meetings yesterday and we succeeded in having a united front . And it was unanimously agreed that we remained in ADC while talks continue on plan B in case plan fails.

We have also resolved that for us to take ADC seriously  the national chairman must come to Ibadan today to meet our selected team to finalize our agreement in Abeokuta.”

This newspaper further learnt that notable leaders and members of the group from the 10 Okeogun local government areas have opted out of ADC meeting. They were said to have publicly made the announcement on Monday at a meeting in Saki.
