EXCLUSIVE: Makinde ‘Reconciles’ With Lanlehin, Visits Ex-Senator’s Residence

Contrary to insinuations and belief that the political relationship between the duo of Governor Seyi Makinde, and former governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, had broken down, a new twist seem to have been introduced into the whole picture, as OYO INSIGHT can exclusively report that the governor was at the Adabeji, Ibadan home of Lanlehin, yesterday.
Makinde, who sources, this newspaper learnt, had described his visit as a ‘private’ one breezed in the afternoon, and spent over an hour with the former Oyo South Senator.
The discussions, various sources confided in OYO INSIGHT, were on smoothening the relationship between the duo, with sources hinting that this last meeting might portend good tidings for people on both sides.
This newspaper recalls that Lanlehin had on July 2, 2019, issued a press release withdrawing from the coalition that birthed Makinde’s victory, citing the latter’s ‘non-compliance with the  spirit and letters of the terms of the gubernatorial pre-election agreement reached’.
Sources hinted that this latest meeting might be the balm that calms all frayed nerves.
