OYO INSIGHT has gathered that Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, has transferred her appointment from the state civil service to the federal civil service.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi, sources added, is expected to announce the appointment of Sen. Hosea Agboola Alleluyah’s wife, Alhaja Lola Agboola, as Ogunesan’s replacement.
Alleluyah, as the Igbojaiye-born politician is known, represented Oyo North between 2011 and 2015 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“Alleluyah’s wife, who hails from Ibadan, became a permanent secretary before Ogunesan. But Ogunesan, due to his powerful influence in the Ajimobi administration, was made HoS ahead of 15 other senior colleagues,” another source confided in OYO INSIGHT.
With the development, Ogunesan will resume, anytime from now, in one of the federal ministries of agencies as a director.
Ogunesan, who is believed to be Oyo’s ‘strongest woman,’ was said to have considered the option few days to the governorship election won by Engr. Oluseyi Makinde of the PDP.
It was however unsure whether the transfer of service is due to the loss suffered by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the just concluded election.
Government sources told OYO INSIGHT that the Ago-Amodu, Saki East local government born number one civil servant still goes to office to perfect her papers.
OYO INSIGHT recalled that Ogunesan succeeded Mr Adesoji Eniade, on. Thursday, February 12, 2018.
Born in the early sixties, Ogunesan joined the civil service in 1989 through the Oyo State Agricultural Development Programme, OYSADEP; converted her carrier into the Administrative Cader of the public service in 2002, and moved to the mainstream civil service of the State in 2008.
She became a director in 2011 and a permanent seceteary in the state civil service in 2015, the position she held in the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy matter until February 12th, 2018, when she was sworn-in as the new HoS.
