The Immediate past Commissioner of works and transport in Oyo State, Prof. Raphael Afonja has extended his condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde over the death of his mother.
OYOINSIGHT.COM reported that the Governor’s mother died in the early hours of Thursday.
Afonja, in a press statement, described the late matriarch as a God fearing woman.
He wrote: “I receive with shock the news of the death of the Mother to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.
“As a man who has worked closely with the Governor, I know how important she is to the first family.
“Mama was not only God-fearing, she was also a selfless human who stands for truth always.
” While it is saddening to believe she is gone, I implore us all to take solace in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life.”
