According to him, “let me sound this note of warning that while the Police will not allow the fundamental human rights of the people to be trampled upon, the Police will not tolerate or allow misguided individual or group of individuals to derail elections.”

“We shall not permit any act that will cause disturbance of public peace, violence or intimidation of electorate. The Police shall be courteous, decisive and firm in their engagement during elections.”

“However, for those who want to test our resolve in ensuring a peaceful atmosphere during and after the elections, we shall not hesitate to bring full weight of the Police resources to deal firmly and decisively with unruly behaviour or disturbance.”

“Therefore, I call on the political class in Ondo, Osun and Oyo states to play by the rules as Omoluabi. Gone were the days when this region was referred to as wild wild West. Now, it should be known as the wise, wise, West,”Oyebade remarked.
