The lecture series started in 2013 when Taiwo Hassan Adebayo, who is now an investigative journalist and General Secretary of Oyo Global Forum, was NAOS Speaker.

The series has since featured Professors Willie Siyanbola, Ayo Ahmed and Seun Kolade as guest speakers. Others were Senators Adesoji Akanbi and Shehu Sani, Mr Bayo Onanuga and Mohammed Babandede, who is the CG of the Immigration Service.

“Having General Dambazau for this year’s edition means further ennobling the platform after having previously been graced some fantastic personalities from the academia and public service” Mr Adebayo told Oyo Insight. “I congratulate the students for being able to do this year.”

The current NAOS speaker is Abiola Eesuola.
