Ex-Ibadan North Reps, Alli Bay, Dies At 81

Alhaji Alli Adebayo Balogun, popularly known as Alli Bay, is dead.

Alli-Bay, who represented Ibadan North federal constituency between 1999-2003, died in his Basorun, Ibadan home Tuesday morning.

His daughter, Bolanle Sarumi-Alliyu, who confirmed the story to OYOINSIGHT.COM, said he was 81.

She had written on a social platform that “I lost my dad this morning. The famous Alli Bay Batashi is gone, Sarumi Dikaka Dikuku.”

Alli Bay, who was a member of the Alliance for Democracy, slugged it out with Senator Abiola Ajimobi at the 2003 Oyo South Senatorial election election.

According to a statement issued on behalf of the family by Mrs. Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu, Hon. Sarumi had 10 children and 20 grandchildren. “He will be buried on Tuesday while the 8th day Fidau prayers will hold at his No 3, Omo Oyin Way, Orita Bashorun, Ibadan home on February, 25”, Sarumi-Aliyu disclosed.
