Akin Alabi, lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency in the House of Representatives, has said the department of state security, DSS, will have to explain why Omoyele Sowore, convener of Revolution Now, was rearrested.
The DSS had, in a gestapo manner, rearrested Sowore this morning, less than 24 hours after an Abuja high court asked them to release him. That was after Sowore had spent 126 days in agency’s facility.
Alabi, while reacting on his verified twitter account tweeted that “The DSS will have to explain why Sowore was rearrested. And the reason has to be HUGE. We just debated on the floor yesterday about separation of powers but this is a desecration of the judiciary. No matter whose side you are on, this cannot be right in anyway.”
