In his usual style of grassroots mobilisation, the leader of Zenith Labour Party(ZLP) and the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on Monday,28th January,2019 commenced the campaign tour of the party with Egbeda Local Government, where he affirmed the authenticity of Otunba (Hon) Rotimi Ajanaku as the ZLP candidate for Ibadan Northwest/Ibadan Southwest Federal Constituency.
Many people, especially supporters of Ajanaku, had been shocked when their principal’s name was omitted in the list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to the former Governor of Oyo state, Ajanaku is the recognized and duly nominated candidate of the party for the House of Representatives election in the constituency.
Meanwhile, the ‘Team Best Option’, the political group of Otunba (Hon) Rotimi Ajanaku has expressed its gratitude to His Excellency, Senator Rashidi Ladoja for all his fatherly supports.
‘We equally use this medium to implore the teeming supporters of Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku to remain resolute and unshaken in their support. They should not be distracted by the antics of the state government and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who are hell-bent in incarcerating/eliminating their *Symbol of Hope*. Their plan to silence and prevent him from contesting the February 16 elections has been exposed and God willing ,Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku’s victory at polls is assured.”
The team, therefore, urged the electorates in its constituency to disregard all forms of rumours and speculations, from the pit of hell, that Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku is not contesting again but be more prepared to actualise his mandate by collecting their permanent voter’s cards (pvc) from INEC and keep them safe to vote Hon. Rotimi Ajanaku on Saturday,16th February,2019 as their Representative in the 9th National Assembly. And by the special grace of God, he would not disappoint them.
“The voting population of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency must refuse to be intimidated but should go all out to vote en masse for Zenith Labour Party, (ZLP) in the fast approaching elections.”
