On the 3rd of May, 2020, I wrote an open letter to you sir, explaining all I was going through as a result of the demolition of the perimeter fence of my plot of land which is at the former mechanic village in Bodija by the men of the Ministry of Lands, housing and urban development. I implored you to kindly use your good office to help resolve the impasse that led to the said demolition. I decided to write such a letter because people said you are a listening governor and a kindhearted man.

With my experience since the publication of the said open letter, I can attest to the fact that you are indeed a good man, a listening governor and a fair-minded administrator.

The speed with which you sought the facts surrounding the demolition and the manner in which you resolved the knotty issues confirmed that the people of Oyo state do have a round peg in a round hole. I am indeed very grateful and eternally indebted to you. It is clear that the men of the Ministry of Lands, housing and urban development were just doing their legitimate job. The application for the fence permit I alluded to in my last open letter did not actually get to the right table as I was made to believe. The fault is not that of the men of the said Ministry.

I am indeed very grateful to the Commissioner, Alhaji Abiodun Abdulraheem for the role he played in the resolution of the misunderstanding. I will also like to appreciate the effort of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Demola Ajibola for all his efforts at resolving the issue that led to the demolition. He is indeed a man of great repute. Little wonder he is highly regarded by all those who know him. He did a yeoman’s job and I truly appreciate him and the men and women of his Ministry.

Lastly, I will like to appreciate all the well-meaning friends and associates who played one role or the other in the resolution of this issue. May God bless everyone of you. May our dear state continue to enjoy meaningful progress and peace. Thank you all.
