The programme was designed for stakeholders to rediscuss the EndSARS movement and proffer solutions to take change the country positively.

Speaking further, Dapolam, who was a panelist at the event, stated that he is in full support of the EndSARS movement.

“Even though some of my party members might think otherwise. Where I come from, I was brought up to speak the truth always,” he said.

He however implored young Nigerians to know that political leaders in the country reason in a different way because “if anything goes wrong, they have an exit plan. You and I dont.

“So every time we embark on a protest, we must be non-violent. When a protest is violent, properties would be destroyed and they don’t belong to the leaders. They are built with taxpayers money. Your money.”

Earlier, in his speech, the convener of the conference, Bosun Omisore, explained that it was organised to take the process of nation building by young people to the next stage.

“The aim here is to ask hard questions and take steps to make chages. Questions like: should we have allowed the EndSARS protest degenerated into into crisis? Has anything changed in the relationship between the Nigerian Police and the people? Should we build a new political party or join existing structures?

“I submit to you today that nation building is not rocket science and Nigeria does not have to wait for centuries to become great. It only takes people you and I who are willing and ready to make a change.”

“Today we leave in history one of those days that we would start being serious about making changes in this country,” he added.

The event was graced by various dignitaries including another former Commissioner in Oyo State, Taiwo Otegbeye, Omisore’s secondary school mates among others
