Urging the governor to devise means to curb traffic congestion and insecurity in many parts of Oyo State, he, once, again commended the Makinde administration for the takeover of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, which until last month, was jointly owned by Oyo and Osun States.

“As Governor Seyi Makinde turns 53, I am pleased to join his family, friends and business associates to celebrate him. Every birthday on the earth surface calls for celebration. This is because every minute spent on earth is by God’s grace. I pray God continue to be with Governor Seyi Makinde, especially in the discharge of his duties.

“Also, I will like to advise the governor to address solve the twin-issue of insecurity and traffic congestion in the state. Insecurity has assumed a dangerous dimension in our dear state. A week has not gone without us witnessing killing and burglary across the state. If not immediately nipped, it will surely affect our economy, internally generated revenue will drop as the state may cease to be investor-friendly because of insecurity.

“On the issue of traffic congestion, road marshal should be drafted to strategic places. Apart from men of the Oyo State Road Traffic Maintenance Agency, OYRTMA, more people need to be engaged to solve the issue.

“I want to commend him on the takeover of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, by the state. It is a rare feat. However, that is not all. Funding is very important to return the institution to the enviable position it was known for before it became troubled. I also advise the governor to consult stakeholders like the host Ogbomosho community, alumni association and the generality of Oyo State people on the best way to reposition the university”, the statemnt added.
