Oyo State had recorded Eighty-seven new cases of COVID-19.
This was announced by Governor Seyi Makinde in his COVID-19 update for July 17.
This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Oyo State to 2076.
Makinde wrote:”Today, all the eighty seven ( 87 )COVID-19 confirmation tests for the new suspected cases in Oyo State came back positive.
“The cases are from Lagelu (11), Ibadan North (9), Ibadan South West (8), Oorelope (8), Ido (7), Ogbomosho North (7), Egbeda (5), Oyo East (4), Ibadan North West (4), Oluyole (4), Ogbomosho South (4), Oyo West (3), Atiba (3), Akinyele (2), Ogo Oluwa (2), Afijio (2), Ibarapa Central (2), Ibadan North East (1) and Iseyin (1) Local Government Areas.
“The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Oyo State as at today is 2076.”
