As part of measures to ameliorate the suffering of his Constituents following the stay-at-home order necessitated by the COVID-19 Pandemic, the lawmaker representing ATISBO/Saki East / Saki West federal constituency, Hon. Jide Olatunbosun has distributed food items to members of his constituency in fulfillment of his pledge to always be there for them.
According to Olatunbosun, who was represented by his emissaries at the distribution on Sunday, the 5th of April, the gesture was in a bid to cushion the economic pangs the people are facing during this period.
The relief materials which include 75 bags of rice and 650 bags of Semovita estimated to worth about ten million naira was delivered to various classes of individuals in the constituency through various bodies they belong to.
The beneficiaries include religious bodies, market men and women, people living with disabilities, and others identified to be less privileged in the constituency.
The lawmaker stressed further that the gesture is aimed at complementing the efforts of the federal and state governments to assist the people as the battle against coronavirus continues.
He then urged the people to always maintain personal hygiene and adhere strictly to directives by the authorities to curb the spread of COVID- 19.
The second-term member of the National Assembly also pledged that more assistance would be rendered to the people soon.
The beneficiaries in separate remarks lauded the lawmaker for the bold steps he has taken and affirmed that he has always been a good representative and ambassador of the constituency.
