Few days after he began his isolation, members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Irepo local government area of Oyo State, have sent a message of hope to Governor Seyi Makinde.
OYOINSIGHT.COM had reported how Makinde, after testing positive to the raging pandemic virus, COVID-19, made it public and resumed isolation. He had initially self-isolated himself following advise to him and his other colleagues by officials of the Nigeria Centew for Disease Control, NCDC, after attending a recent governors’ forum meeting.
Many states are on lockdown due in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic virus that has claimed thousands of lives globally.
But the ruling PDP in a statement by Irepo LGA chapter, signed by the trio of Mr Hassan Ismail Odejide, Alhaji Kabiru Jimoh and Irekeola Muhammed Adedayo, chairman, secretary and organizing secretary respectively, they charged Makinde to remain strong.
According to them, “Our thoughts and prayers are with you as we wish for a complete and restful recovery, may God Almighty heal you alongside with the victims of this deadly coronavirus.”
While charging residents across the state to adhere to the guidelines on COVID-19, they advised who recently travelled to self-isolate themselves or see the doctors immediately they noticed any sign of the deadly pandemic.
