Senator Adesoji Akanbi has cautioned stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress , APC, in Oyo state to be cautious about what they say regarding the just concluded ward congress.
According to Akanbi, who is the Okanlomo of Ibadanland, nobody should jubilate because of the outcome of the ward congress “as those who were chosen by the people were not outsiders but members of our great party.”
The former lawmaker also thanked the leadership of the APC for democratizing leadership in the party, urging them to as a matter of urgency reconcile those who felt aggrieved with the outcome of the ward congress”
”All stakeholders should be cautious of whatever they say at this point in time. Our party is the winner. Nobody should mock anybody. We are close to election years and we cannot afford to go into election with a divided house. All of us are winners.
”I want to salute the leadership of our party for their efforts in democratizing the process of choosing leaders for the party. I also thank members for coming out en masse to the congress venues. It shows that we are still the party to beat in the state.”
