The lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency and chairman, house committee on governmental affairs, Hon. Akin Alabi, today held a meeting with leaders and representatives of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from all the wards in Egbeda local government in preparation for the forthcoming local government congress.
The meeting which was held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 was presided over by Alabi and Pa Sobalaje Asunmo.
Speaking at the meeting, Alabi stated that the forthcoming congress will be held in the spirit of fairness and equity.
He stressed the importance of carrying all interests and groups along as this will lead to the unity of the party in the council area.
Alabi, who is the founder of Nigeria’s first online betting site, took time to settle all the rifts amongst various stakeholders in all the eleven wards of the local government.
Other stakeholders present were Alhaji Gani Alade, Hon. Billy Ogundele, Alhaja Juwon Adewuyi, Alhaji Animashaun Agbedo, Hon. Ronke Adedeji, Hon. Debo Amoo, Hon. David Murewa, Barrister Akinsanmi amongst others.
The re-scheduled ward congress of the All Progressives Congress will now be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in all the wards across the country.
