A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and National Secretary of the Interim National Working Committee (iNWC), Taofeek Arapaja, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State after submitting his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.
The forms were submitted today by the governorship aspirant to the Member and National Organizing Secretary, Dakas Shan.
The development signals Amb. Arapaja’s formal entry into the race for the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the next electoral cycle in Oyo State.
Party faithful and supporters present during the submission reaffirmed the party’s popular slogan, “PDP… Power to the People,” expressing optimism over the party’s chances in the forthcoming political contest.
Amb. Arapaja, a former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, remains one of the prominent figures within the PDP structure both in the state and at the national level.
