OYO INSIGHT learnt that the appearance of the two politicians on INEC website cannot be unconnected with former governor Rashidi Ladoja’s Defection from the ADC to ZLP.

This newspaper gathered that Ladoja, without consulting the duo and many others, had filled their names ZLP candidates.

The duo were said to have rejected the offer when they were told. They were however surprised when their names appeared on the commission’s website.

With the development, sources at INEC said, ZLP may not have candidates for Oyo North and South senatorial districts in the February 16, 2019 National Assembly election.

It has Hon. Aderemi Olaniyan as its candidate for Oyo Central senatorial district.
