Barr. Akeem Agbaje, a former Chairman Nigeria Bar Association Ibadan branch and All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant in the 2023 election has felicitated the good people of the state on this Christmas.
Christmas, according to him, is a time when Christians celebrate the birth of Christ, and also a time when all of us, irrespective of our religious leanings celebrate life. This year brought to fore the need to reverse the continuing decline in the well-being of our people, uncertainties in many spheres of our lives, COVID 19 Omicron, increasing extreme poverty, mass unemployment, insecurity and other challenges plaguing our nation.
As we celebrate Christmas, let us take into cognisance that it is also a season to renew hope in God Almighty and belief that there are better days ahead. It is also a time take a break from the daily struggles of life and celebrate a defining moment for mankind, the birth of Jesus Christ.
In this season of goodwill, we must remember those who are less fortunate in our society, our elderly, disabled, the sick and vulnerable ones among us, let us give them support and share the joy of the season with them
