The Court of Appeal has decided the appeal in favour of the appellant, Governor Seyi Makinde and the Oyo State Government against Bashorun Bosun Ajuwon, who had instituted the case initially on behalf of the Oyo State chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON.
Since last year’s May, OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that Oyo and ALGON had been at loggerheads over the control of the local government and local council development areas.
ALGON had approached an Ibadan high court after Makinde, few hours after he was sworn in, sacked its members who were elected by the administration of late former governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Makinde and Oyo State had appealed the judgement of the lower court which gave ruling in favour of the sacked chairmen.
