BREAKING: Oyo Denies Demolishing Music House As Court Adjourns Till September

Lawyer to the Oyo State Government, Chief Yomi Alliyu, SAN, today told the court that his client didn’t know anything about the demolition of Music House, Ibadan, owned by popular gospel musician, Dr Yinka Ayefele.

Ayefele, OYO INSIGHT had reported, took the state government to court over demolition notice and ultimatum issued to him last Monday.

The court had fixed today for commencement of hearing in the matter.

Yesterday, 24 hours to court proceedings, the building was demolished by the state government. It has continued to generate criticisms from within and far.

At the hearing today, Alliyu said the government is unaware of the demolition, informing the court that the client will soon set up a panel of inquiry to look into the matter.

Alliyu assured that the government will speed up work to ascertain who demolished the structure before the adjourned date.

The court later adjourned hearing till September 12, 2018.
