Less than 7 months in office, the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji today conferred the title of Jagunmolu on Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State.
Oba Adetunji made this known when he visited the Government House for a reception held in honour of Makinde by the Ibadan Progressive Union.
The formal installation is expected to be done at a convenient date to be announced by the palace.
Makinde later made it known in a Facebook post.

At the same reception, I was invested with the title, Distinguished Member of Ibadan Progressive Union. As you may know, my father also belonged to this club. I am deeply humbled by these honours and the affirmation and confidence reposed in me.
